Early Career Framework.

Helping new teachers build their skills in the world of education.

Register Your ECTs

The ECF gives all Early Career Teachers an entitlement to two years of high-quality training and support to help build their skills and create effective educators.

In partnership with UCL, London South Teaching School Hub provides a wide-reaching programme offering:

  • Full ECF training to prepare new teachers for the challenges of teaching beyond their early years, and their ongoing career in the world of education.
  • A dedicated training programme for all ECF Mentors to ensure they're able to give the best support possible.

London South TSH's Training Programme is fully-funded by the DfE - completely free for state-funded participant schools.

Appropriate Body service:

From September 2024, London South TSH will become the main provider of AB services in Lambeth, Lewisham and Southwark. Local Authorities will not take on any new ECTs from September 2023.

We are currently reviewing the AB service cost for September 2023. This will be finalised after the Easter Break.

If you are running a Core Induction or a School Led Induction Programme, please get in touch to discuss bespoke costs.

See our ECF Registration Guide for details on how to register for our programme.

The ECF is a training programme, not an assessment but all ECTs are still required to undertake Induction through an Appropriate Body.

The appointment of an Appropriate Body is a statutory requirement for the induction period and an ECT cannot start the ECF until their Appropriate Body has been agreed. In our operational area, there are three Appropriate Bodies:
